I built my first real BMX jump in 1987 in a grassy field that covered a city block. Just a few years before, it was my prime choice for snake hunting in the neighborhood. But then I witnessed some older kids pedaling down the hill to a pile of soil that met up with the asphalt and into the field. From that moment on my life has been 100% BMX.
This is the earliest photo I could find of the Dumont Trails in Fall River. 1993/4?
When Cara and I started Circuit BMX we knew from the start we wanted to make it more than just a BMX Shop. Once we opened our doors we quickly started hosting events and got involved with the City of Pawtucket to get the Pawtucket Skate Park built. And we continue to work with the city of Providence on new projects.
We have been running the shop going on 19 years and while running a BMX shop is the hardest job I’ve ever had, it’s been the best 19 years of my life. With shops closing all around the country we are fortunate to have the support of a solid local community. We want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for allowing us to do what we love.
We plan on keeping everyone stoked and we will continue hosting rad events to keep growing the scene and keeping it strong.
